FMC CONVOCATION 2022
Convocation of first M.B.B.S batch of Fazaia Medical College, Islamabad Campus, was held on Thursday, 23rd June, 2022, at Main Auditorium of Air University, E-9 Islamabad.
The Chief Guest of convocation, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar NI (M), awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to the students who secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions respectively in their University Professional examinations. The students who secured highest marks in each subject were also awarded Gold Medals. The convocation was attended by high ranking armed forces officials, senior members of the civil society, vice chancellors of medical universities, principals of private and civil medical colleges along with parents of graduating students.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar NI (M), appreciated the standard and quality of education being imparted and encouraged Fazaia Medical College to add innovative teaching and learning strategies including Nano-technology, robotic surgery, personalized medicines and wide spectrum organ transplant.
The Vice Chancellor Air University, Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed, HI (M) (R) highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary research and use of latest tools and technologies for learning medical procedures and skills.
Principal Fazaia Medical College Islamabad, Maj Gen Muhammad Tahir Khadim HI (M) (R), expressed his gratitude and satisfaction regarding the quality of medical education being imparted to medical students by the basic and clinical science faculty members and also admired the efforts of all members of FMC convocation committees. He also appreciated the facilities provided at Fazaia Medical College by Air University Islamabad and Pakistan Air Force Air Head Quarters.
The degrees were awarded to successful graduates by Vice Chancellor Air University Islamabad Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed, HI (M) (R).
