Reception, White Coat & Oath Taking Ceremony of 1st Batch of BS Nursing program
The grand reception, white coat and oath taking ceremony of 1st Batch of BS Nursing program was held on May 5th, 2025 at Main Auditorium of Air University with great enthusiasm and participation. The event marked the formal reception of pioneer batch of BSN.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Vice Chancellor Air University Air Marshal Abdul Moeed Khan, HI(M). The occasion was also attended by Esteemed Dean Faculty of Health Sciences and Principal Fazaia Medical College, creditable Project Director FMCs, several dignitaries of various Nursing institutions, valued faculty members of Air University and Fazaia Medical College, esteemed guests from Pakistan Air Force Teaching Hospitals Islamabad, BSN students, and their parents.
The formal opening remarks were offered by Principal Fazaia College of Nursing, who expressed gratitude and acknowledged the support and dedication of everyone involved in bringing institution’s vision to life. The detailed discourse highlighted the vision, mission, goals of Nursing College and the amenities offered within the University and Hospital infrastructure. The principal also shed light on the importance of nursing, underscoring the compassion, skill, and responsibility it requires.
The event also featured the distribution of white coats among students by Vice Chancellor Air University, Dean Faculty of Health Sciences/Principal FMC and Project Director FMCs. It was followed by the oath taking ceremony by Nursing students which was led by Principal Fazaia College of Nursing.
The Dean Faculty of Health Sciences emphasized the critical role nurses play in the healthcare industry in his inspiring address. The students were encouraged to sustain the highest standards of ethics and professionalism throughout their careers. The Chief Guest VC Air University stressed the importance of education in nation-building and invigorated the students to make the best use of the facilities provided at the campus. He also commended the vision behind the establishment of the institute and guaranteed strong commitment from the University’s academic community and governing bodies.
The program concluded with cake cutting ceremony by students and a refreshment session with all the attendees. The event successfully set a constructive tone for the academic journey ahead and was extensively cherished by all participants.
